The city of Atlanta has millions of stimulus money available to put 16 to18 year old teenagers to work as part of the Atlanta Workforce Development Agency’s Summer Youth Program. About one thousand teens will be chosen to work 35 hours a week for 8 weeks, making $8.50 an hour.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Those eligible must be between 16 through 18 years old. Bring a birth certificate or state picture ID to prove age. Applicants must live in Atlanta. Bring a utility bill, lease or phone bill as proof of residence. To prove income eligibility, bring a Food Stamp Award letter, or (TANF) Temporary Assistance For Needy Families Award letter or proof of Medicaid.

The last day to submit applications is April 16, 2010.
