Be sure to tune in to Praise 102.5 /102.9 all day, on Thursday, April 4 starting at 6am for the Praise 102.5 /102.9 “Radio Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon!”

Since opening 50 years ago, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has changed the way the world treats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. No family ever pays St. Jude for the care their child receives.

The hospital has played a pivotal role in pushing U.S. pediatric cancer survival rates from 20 to 80 percent overall. It is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted to children. It is also a leader in the research and treatment of blood disorders and infectious diseases in children. St. Jude was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, who believed that no child should die in the dawn of life. The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of the founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay. The money raised from the Radio Cares for St. Jude Radiothon assist St. Jude and their efforts to provide pediatric cancer treatment and research.

Join that mission by visiting StJude.org or following St. Jude on Facebook and Twitter.
