The worst person to lie to is yourself. You know when you’re doing your best. You know if you’re happy or not. You know what you REALLY want (whether it’s right OR wrong). Always be honest with yourself. That’s the only way you’ll be able to truly grow from where you are to where you desire to be. For instance, if you NEED good but really WANT bad, don’t lie. Be honest with yourself. Once you get comfortable with lying to yourself, you’ll be amazed at how difficult it becomes to discern who you REALLY are and who you have CONVINCED yourself that you are.
Leviticus 19:11 – Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not deceive one another.
… even if the person you are deceiving is YOURSELF!
