The woman who is found beside Pastor Marvin Sapp isn’t just his wife, Dr. MaLinda Sapp is also his manager, the Administrative Pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church, and Pastor Sapp’s lifelong friend. She’s currently battling colon cancer, and countless fans of her husband’s are praying for her illness to go into remission. Life long friend and now covenant partner with the dynamic Pastor Marvin L. Sapp, Lady MaLinda Sapp stands with her husband as Administrative Pastor at the two year old 800 member assembly of Lighthouse Full life Center Church. Domestic at heart, she cherishes her role as wife to a multifaceted and gifted man of God and mother to three beautiful children, Marvin II, Mikaila and Madisson.
In addition to her ministry service, she is a limited licensed psychologist, licensed professional counselor and serves as a college professor. Both Pastor Marvin and Lady MaLinda are committed to their ministry and community. Lighthouse has established a three fold focus including the body, soul and spirit. This concept implements programs to meet the needs of the members that include financial workshops, education counseling and health and fitness programs. Additionally, they have founded “Entrepreneurs Exchange”, a faith based business fellowship. This concept began as a result of their entrepreneurial efforts to establish Praise Place Multipurpose Ministry Center, a multi service ministry complex that includes a restaurant, sound stage, bookstore, recording studio and Vision Center. Other outreach initiatives include First Ladies Fellowship and Education Summit.
Lady MaLinda is a sought after speaker to empower people in a variety of areas. She conducts the Lighthouse Leadership Institute that trains ministry leaders to function in excellence. A fierce negotiator, she serves as Manager for Pastor Marvin’s recording contracts and has served as Executive Producer on many of the audio and video recordings.
Guided by Isaiah 61:1-3 she declares, “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness”. To that end, she is founder of Travail Ministries which focuses on empowering women to recover from hardships, maintain healthy relationships and to maximize their potential in Christ. Through Travail, women give birth to their purpose in God.
