I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and she said, “This year I am not doing a New Year’s Resolution. I’ve said the same thing every year that at the top of the year I’m going to lose weight and here I am in the same size I’ve worn for 12 years. I said I would spend more time with my family, but still I have the same schedule I’ve adhered to for years. I have not changed so I’m not into resolutions.”

My response to her was, “The problem is not the New Year’s Resolution, the problem is, You have to stick with your commitments. Maybe you have a problem accepting change in your life. Changes in your habits and routines that will cause you to reach your goals or maybe it’s that you don’t give yourself enough time to see results before you give up and call it a failure.

What are your thoughts on New Year’s Resolutions?
