When Usher showed up to vote at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building in Roswell this week, election officials allowed the pop superstar to jump to the front of the line, angering many Fulton County voters already in line to cast their ballots.

Fulton County election officials are defending their decision to let Usher skip the line, telling WSB-TV that the Atlanta singer was escorted to the front of the line to minimize distractions at his Roswell polling site. The poll manager said in a statement that he was directed to move Usher through the process as quickly as possible.

However, Fulton County Commissioner Liz Hausmann questioned the decision, telling WSB-TV that typically the only people allowed to skip the voting line are people with disabilities, the elderly and voters with small children.
