William Balfour, the man responsible for murdering Jennifer Hudson’s family, has finally gotten what he deserved. Hudson returned home to Chicago to attend Balfour’s sentencing. Balfour, 31, offered “condolences” to the Hudson family before a judge sentenced him to three consecutive life sentences.

“My deepest sympathies go to Julian King,” said Balfour. “I loved him. I still love him.” King, Hudson’s nephew, was among the people killed by Balfour. He also killed Jennifer’s mom Darnell Donerson, and Jennifer’s brother Jason Hudson.

While Balfour sp0ke, he faced his own family, not Hudson’s. A female member of Balfour’s family burst into tears and ran out of the courtroom after Balfour spoke. Jennifer and sister Julia Hudson both dabbed at their eyes with tissues during the painful testimony.

Balfour was also convicted of home invasion and residential burglary. Balfour was actually on parole at the time of the murders because in 1998, he was caught in the act of stealing a car and subsequently was involved in a high-speed police chase.

Balfour actually had the nerve to ask for a new trial, which was denied.
