Track and field star Marion Jones fell from the public’s grace in 2007 when she admitted to lying to federal agents about her use of performance enhancing drugs prior to the 2000 Summer Olympics but she met God while serving time for perjury.

“I graced the covers of Time Magazine, Vogue Magazine, making millions dollars, house hold name and I am in a cell the size of a bathroom. Just me and my thoughts, and my Bible, pictures of my kids and my memories,” Jones said in a interview with the 700 Club, recounting the humbling position that prison brought her to.

Olympic Champion Marion Jones was known for her speed but now she’s looking to be known as one who shares God’s word and offers words of encouragement to those who are on the brink of giving up.
