The trailer for Whitney Houston’s final film, “Sparkle,” debuted on NBC’s “Today” show Monday, giving her fans a glimpse of the big-screen performance that would be the superstar’s last.
The remake of the 1976 Supremes-inspired flick is due to hit theaters in August, and marks Houston’s first return to movie acting in 16 years. In the film, Whitney plays the mother of Jordin Sparks’ character, a singer who never quite made it to the big time.
