From PraisePhilly.com:

One day wasn’t enough to say goodbye to the Queen of Gospel Albertina Walker, so she was celebrated on October 14th and 15th with several events in Chicago.

A public viewing and celebration of life worship service were held at West Point Baptist Church, and there was a concert at the Apostolic Church of God. West Point has been Albertina Walker’s lifelong church home, and she began singing in the youth choir at the age of 4.

As expected, thousands came out to pay their respects to the long-reigning Queen of Gospel music, including celebrities and local politicians. Among those famous figures were Shirley Caesar, Dorothy Norwood, Tramaine Hawkins, Aretha Franklin, Judge Greg Mathis and Jesse Jackson, Jr. to name a few.

Take a look at the videos and photos from this moving event.
