Erica Campbell of Mary Mary is facing some criticism for her recent photo shoot cover of her upcoming solo album. Campbell announced last year that she was launching a solo career, and her debut album is slated for a March 2014 release.
A preacher on Facebook wrote
“THIS IS NOT OKAY. Yes, you are a beautiful, curvy woman…but NO MA’AM YOU ARE SINGING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. Saints…smh COME ON.”
Although Twitter and Facebook has had a lot of negative comments about the cover photo, some people are okay with the picture. Lisa Holloway said, “I think people, especially Christians, are too uptight. It’s nothing wrong with being a Christian and portraying sex appeal.”
