I was getting lunch at one of my favorite spots today. My mouth was already watering from the thought of what I was about to eat. I’d been doing a good job with making sensible choices regarding my diet, but NOT today! I planned to splurge and splurge HARD! While I waited, I heard the guy in front of me order. ‘I’d like the fresh green beans, the sautĂ©ed spinach, the turkey breast (no sauce) and a glass of water with lemon please’ WHAT? I don’t know why I got salty, but I did. Who does this guy think he’s showing off in front of? I was so deep in my thoughts I wasn’t paying attention the server, now visibly irritated, asking me what I wanted to order. In a low, almost inaudible tone I said, ‘I’ll just have what he’s having’. My point is that you don’t know who is watching you. Someone may be on the verge of making the wrong decision and it’s YOUR consistency and right decision making that is just what they needed to see to help them self correct. You don’t know who is learning from you right now. The question is… what lesson are you teaching?
