About a week ago, Tameka ‘Tiny” Harris announced on her website that her father, Charles Pope, had passed away.
Dianne Pope, Tiny’s mother, took time to speak with Sister 2 Sister about the “gentleman” she loved dearly.
“He was a sweet, gentle man…gentleman. He wore a suit every day of his life. Every day,” Dianne shared. “Anybody could have came in this house and he was sitting there watching TV; he would have a suit on.”
Charles was 76 when he passed away in their Atlanta home. He was one of the founders of the Atlanta group The Tams. In 2009,he stopped performing with the group due to the progression of Alzheimer’s.
Diane has started a foundation to fight the dreaded Alzheimer’s Disease called For The Love of Our Fathers foundation and you can visit the site here: fortheloveofourfathers.org
